Best way from St. Germain to CDG on Sunday?

Having read a very bad review on the Paris Shuttle, and seeing the prices, I was wondering what a less expensive alternative would be to get to CDG from St. Germain on a Sunday for a flight out at 1:00 p.m.? There are four of us and we will each have a 21" suitcase in tow. If we take public transit, is there room for our suitcases and can we get around with them in the terminals? What would a taxi cost in comparison? Thanks so much for your help as we get this sorted out!!! (Trip is mid-July)

I agree with Starrsville..there will be less traffic and the trip will undoubtedly go faster than it would during the week.

Yes, I've done the RER and yes I've done the shuttle and yes I've even done the Air France bus...and you know that all of those are actually evaluated against the "gold standard"..a taxi.

You deserve it...take it.

You may need a larger taxi, though!

The RER isn't that bad and only 8€ per person - there is room for your suitcase, no special racks or anything. We just take one of the fold-down seats and stand our bag in front of us (hang on to it or it may fall over when train moves).
When you deboard, go up the escalator then up to 5, and catch the shuttle to your terminal/hall.

Thanks so much for the info. This is exactly what I needed! Can you request a "larger taxi" that will hold four large suitcases (and maybe even a carry-on)? If not, perhaps we need to look at other options mainly because of our load!
