Beaune Fall 22

Beaune Fall 22I inadvertently posted this on the Europe board

Hello, I’m looking for some help with a Fall trip to France. I just found an awesome flight into CDG on 10/7/22. We are tentatively going down to Beaune for a few days in Burgundy. Our flight lands at 10:35am. Do you think is feasible to take the TGV train from CDG that day down to Dijon and connect to Beaune. The train schedule is not availble. Or should we just rent a car. After Beaune we have about 5 days to visit somewhere else in France before heading back for 5 days in Paris- any suggestions.
We have been down to Provence a couple of times so probably don’t need to go there.
Thanks for any and all advice

Where you are traveling from to Beaune?
We have been there twice and preferred staying right in the center of town. There are nice day trips to take from Besunevtoo.

FYI Beaune is in Europe.

No, do NOT just rent a car for such a simple trip.

There are trains like that every 2-3 hours from 7 am to 6 pm. Of course you'll be able to go by train.

Meander back from Beaune to Paris. Sens, Auxerre, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Fontainebleau, Troyes are all places worth a visit:

Michael's idea of a slow meander back to Paris is a good one. You could add Provins to his list. An alternative would be a detour to Annecy, for a total change of pace amid great scenic beauty. You could easily do a day trip to Chamonix or explore the villages around the lake and up in the mountains in addition to Annecy itself.

BTW, however you get to Beaune, I highly recommend you rent a car once you're there. You'll want to get out of Beaune to visit places like Vezelay, Chateauneuf-en-Auxois, Noyers-sur-Serein, Autun, Tournus, and a few million others. Burgundy is one of my favorite regions of France--incredibly beautiful, and oh, yes, they produce pretty good wine. A car will help you see the region much better.
