Accommodations in Seville

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel San Gil or Casas de la Juderia in Seville? We are a family of 3 plus a 5 month old baby looking for adjoining rooms or a suite large enough for all of us (and a pool would be nice)

Haven't stayed at either of those properties, but stayed at the Alfonso (a great old property built by the king). It's a great hotel with large rooms and a pool. It's expensive for Seville, but relatively inexpensive for the US (we paid around $150 per night). Also, it's a Westin so if you have any points can get discounts/free nights.

We've stayed at the Casas de la Juderia. It was one of the most luxurious places I've ever stayed in my life, and one of the most expensive. That said, it's hard to beat...classic Moorish architecture, loads of tile and fountains, palms in terra cotta pots, waiters running 'round with huge bowls of fresh fruit, in the heart of old Sevilaa.... Pain in the butt to try to get the car there on the narrow streets, and even worse trying to get it into the parking lot, but once there, we were fine. This was a number of years ago, so no recent experience. I do recall recoiling in horror when I got the bill - but it was the year of the Expo in Spain and everything was way overpriced. I don't remember a pool.

Our friends stayed at the San Gil while we were in the Los Seises. They liked their place very much. Had a pool and garden area outside. Rooms were two story affairs with sitting/kitchenette like downstairs and bed and I think bath upstairs. It's in the macarena area and not quite as central as some but still reasonably close to the main attractions.

<BR>Thank you all for the info. Our trip is now the first week of September--so lots of time to consider all of these places.

We stayed at The Alfonso this past April. It was a beautiful hotel with an excellent location. I recommend it highly.
