Calabria

Has anyone ever stayed at any of the hotels in Calabria? We will be driving through there on the way from Positano to Sicily next week and upon researching the hotels in that area, found that they looked very nice and quite reasonable with beaches and pools included. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Good afternoon. Angela
Took this trip many years ago and stayed
at Cosenza due to the time we lost as Peastum visit. The ferries cross at Villa S. Giovanni which is about 440 km
south of Salerno or about 275 miles, if
this is too much for one day tri an overnite at either Paola or Palmi which
are both on the coast could possibly get some reasonable and senic hotels in these areas. We stayed in Ciro Marenna, looking for cousins, which we found. We stayed @ Vela Bianca, Ciro, 39 962-35128
Right on the water, balcony, not luxurious but absolutely fine, clean, good food. Ciro nice place..we watched the fishermen going out from the balcony with our espresso in the morning.
