croix, you will love the Old Fort !

A day in St. Vincent will give you a nice taste of the old Caribbean although you will probably not see much of the spectacular countryside.

In Kingstown, St. Mary's Catholic Church is a hoot and you must not miss the red angel in the Anglican church across the road. Also have a look at the tombstones and see all the young Englishmen who died of yellow fever and malaria. Your children might also like looking between the stones for the sensitive plants that curl up when the leaves are touched.

You will be able, in a day, to include Fort Charlotte in your tour and also the Botanical Gardens. At the Gardens, do hire one of the local guides (licensed, INSIDE the gates) - well worth it.

You should also be able to fit in Mariner's for lunch (about 20 minutes from Kingstown). As a previous poster has mentioned, the beaches in this area aren't much especially compared to Bequia but better than nothing !

If you want to try a local lunch spot, the Bounty Cafe and Art Gallery in Kingstown is a bit of a favourite.

Have a great time
