I 'm kind of concerned cause I'm leaving for Anguilla this next week and they're calling for a lot of rain. Am I wrong to be concerned? Do they mean only brief showers? Thanks so much!

Most on line weather forecasts for most Caribbean islands (Anguilla included) ALWAY predict rain/showers. I wouldn't let it worry you. Anguilla is a very arid island and showers are often very brief and very localized - not unusual for it to be sprinkling in one area and there be bright sun 1/4 mile away.

Also, it's nearly impossible to predict the weather for a small island like Anguilla for more than a day or two in advance. Forget looking at the weather sites as you'll rarely find a time when they show "all sun".

The Accuweather site is sometimes more accurate than sites like weather.com and that's showing mostly sunny skies.

I have found weather underground to be the most accurate but they really can't predict more than a few days in advance. There has been some kind of system over the Leeward islands the past week or so but it looks to be breaking up/clearing out so you should be fine!

Don't worry about it and just go. We've been there the last five years and if it rains it's for like ten minutes-or at night. Who cares. You are on paradise!
