what's up with the weather for the next two weeks?

The weather does not look very promising.
I understand that rain daily is common this time of year but, this looks way more active. Checking the web-cams for the last week it's raining all of the time. Help!!!
We have saved and saved for this trip, I dont want to sit in the rain like we have in the midwest for the past month!!

Which island are you referring to? What part of the Caribbean region?

I was just there May 11-20th. Clouds every day, but they always blow over, it was more sun than anything. If it did rain, it was a small sprinkle here and there and then it would get sunny. Actually its a nice break when a cloud would go over because that sun is a scorcher! Plus it depends on where you are. We were up by the turtle farm with sun all day, but came back to our condo at Treasure Islands and it must have rained because there were puddles. So I wouldn't worry about the weather. Have a great time - wish I was going back!

I just read on weather.com that there is a tropical disturbance in the Caribbean which has been soaking Jamaica and Cuba with flooding rains and is expected to hit Florida and the Bahamas over the Memorial Day weekend.

The sun came out this am on the South Coast of Jamaica -- it's been raining
strong all over island, different parishes at different times. Big storm/depression north over CAYMANS.
