T&C activities
T&C looks so gorgeous, but is it almost too secluded? We are not into crowded resorts, nightclubs and casinos, but we do like to window shop or chat with other travellers over cocktails. (My husband and I adore each other, but you can only take so much isolation on the beach before you get a little stir crazy.)
Did you find yourself getting bored in T&C?

We were there during a relatively quiet week (halfway between Thanksgiving and Christmas) and it was VERY quiet.
We did find a lively scene at Calico Jack's on a Fri. or Sat. night (can't remember which) - live band, nice mix of locals and tourists. Tiki Hut Restaurant on Wed. night (barbecue special) also was hopping.
Window shopping? Not so much.
Fact is, most of the activities are on or in the water. If you go on daysails, snorkel trips, etc., you'll meet people you can socialize with later on.

Been to Provo twice and never was bored. Met interesting people on the beach and in the bar - especially enjoyed The Sands.
We also met interesting folks on boat excursions with J & B Tours and while dining at Tiki Hut.
Great place to go if you love the beach and the ocean. Not a great place to go if you like flashy shows, casinos, and other types of night life.

Anacona at Grace Bay Club has live music on Wed Fri and Sat. Lovely restaurant and bar On Tuesday Hemmingways has a Caribbean BBque with live music. Hole in the Wall restaurant has a seafood buffet on Tuesday with live rake and scrape music. They will provide transportation from where you are staying. Calico Jacks in Ports of Call has music on Friday. Thursday night 28 North in Ports of Call has Martini night on Thursday with live Jazz and Blues from 9 PM. Tiki Hut in Turtle Cove is fun on Wed night. Chicken and ribs for $10. Sat Night Banana Boat has live Caribbean Karaoke. Believe Hemmingways has live music on Thurs too. Best to call each place first.

Provo is not secluded, it gets a good bit of tourists. There's plenty to do and many people to meet. I wouldn't say its big on shopping but definitely beach and water activities.
CDT, I love the Tiki Hut at the marina....great food!

Rake and scrape is very hard to describe. It is old caribbean music that is created by instruments that are created by the locals like washboards, gourds, cow bells, spoons, homeade stringed instrumets etc. it is really cool and if you can find a good band really worth it
