Nassau - cruise stop - looking for a hotel to "crsh" use beach/pool
Wonder - Nassau - Want to go to a hotel for free to use their beach/pool
Hi all. We will be on the Wonder this weekend. When we are at Nassau, we want to hand out at a hotel, lay on the beach. (Not the Atlantis, we have stayed there before). Does anyone know of any hotels that don't ask for id's, let you use their beach chairs, swim in their pool?
Thanks for the info!

I think that people may not be responding to your question because this is a sticky topic.
I personally think that those who use beach chairs, enjoy the hotel swimming pool and generally utilize amenities that hotel guests are paying for should also pay a fee.
I wish I could find out ahead of time which resorts sell day passes and then I would be sure to avoid them. It's probably just me but I like to have an idea of how full the facilities will be and in the past I've calculated that on assuming the hotel is at full capacity(rooms). Obviously if day trippers are there, this info is incorrect. Good luck in your travels. I don't know of any resorts in the Bahamas that we have stayed at the offer all you want for free. Threehearts

Actually, all three Cable Beach hotels (Radisson, Wyndham and Nassau Beach Hotel) allow cruise passengers to use their facilties. They expect that you will have lunch, drinks etc, and not over stay your welcome or be rude and disorderly. They, of course, reserve the right to refuse, based on how crowded they are on a day to day basis.
I wouldn't worry about it. If Radisson is overbooked, you can always wander down to the Nassau Beach Hotel, or even further down the strip where it's nearly empty.
Yes, I know this isn't fair to paying guest, but the Government has ownership in the Radisson, and they won't turn away tourist, no matter how they arrive.

Tamara- Thanks for the thoughtful, objective response. You, of course are right that tourism will drive all and if these resorts are open to cruise passengers, why shouldn't cruisers take advantage of the opportunity. Threehearts

From the Cruiseship docks to Cable Beach should be $12 for 2 ppl. $3 for each additional person plus tip.
The trip should take about 10-12 mins. There are plenty of taxi's, or you can pick up the jitney (public bus) from outside any of the hotels which head directly to downtown Nassau. They cost $1pp and run every few minutes until 6pm. If you are at the Cable Beach Hotels, you should look for the #10 jitney, they are clearly marked. It's a fun experience.
