Day Trips to other islands from Nassau???
We will be going to the Bahamas and staying at Atlantis in October. We wondered if there were any boat trips or ferries to other islands from Nassau? We have been to the Bahamas before and have seen most of the major sites on New Providence Island. Hoping to find something new to explore. Suggestions????

You may want to consider going on a snorkeling expedition with Bahama Divers or other established operations. You've got to see the real Bahamas...down under. Beautiful reefs to explore with a knowledgeable guide. Robert

There's also the Fast Ferry over to Eleuthera and Harbour Island, which leaves Nassau, very close to Paradise Island.
The ferry has 2 trips a day so you could leave on the very early am sailing and come back in the late afternoon.
There is a bit of shopping, a few good restaurants and 3 miles of the MOST beautiful beach. The island is very small and walkable or you can rent a golf cart and tour all over the island.

I second Derek's suggestion of the Power Boat Tour - THE best day trip we have ever taken in all of the caribbean! Check them out at www.powerboatadventures.com - it truly is AWESOME!

Yes there is a website. The ferry over to Eleuthera and Harbour Island is the BoHengy and the website is www.bahamasfastferries.com
