Day Trips to other islands from Nassau???
 

We will be going to the Bahamas and staying at Atlantis in October. We wondered if there were any boat trips or ferries to other islands from Nassau? We have been to the Bahamas before and have seen most of the major sites on New Providence Island. Hoping to find something new to explore. Suggestions????

You may want to consider going on a snorkeling expedition with Bahama Divers or other established operations. You've got to see the real Bahamas...down under. Beautiful reefs to explore with a knowledgeable guide. Robert

There's also the Fast Ferry over to Eleuthera and Harbour Island, which leaves Nassau, very close to Paradise Island.

The ferry has 2 trips a day so you could leave on the very early am sailing and come back in the late afternoon.

There is a bit of shopping, a few good restaurants and 3 miles of the MOST beautiful beach. The island is very small and walkable or you can rent a golf cart and tour all over the island.

You could also take a Powerboat trip to the Exuma Cays with Island World Adventures. Although expensive (160 pp) it was very enjoyable and we got to see a part of the Bahamas that few people get to see.
