Cap Juluca room sizes

I am in the preliminary planning phases of a 2009 Caribbean trip (starting early so can use miles), and Anguilla is calling my name! I'm considering breaking up a week into 4 nights at Ku and 3 at Cap Juluca. A suite or villa will not be in my budget, so I wanted to ask your opinions on the normal rooms (listed as Superior or Luxury on website). Do they all really have oceanview patios? I'm having trouble deciding if it will be worth the extra cost, of if we should just stay put in one place all week. Thanks for any advice!

Ground floor rooms at CJ have "ocean view" patios, second floor rooms have balconies. The views from the scond floor rooms are unobstructed while the patios on ground floor rooms have plantings the give you shade and some privacy while still allowing limited views of the beach and water. I prefer the ground floor rooms because I like to see the plantings as well the beach & water. Others prefer the second floor as the like to gaze completely at the water.

CJ is one of my favorite resortsbut if budget is a consideration spend your time at Ku and use the money you save to treat yourself to some dinners at the islands more upscale restaurants (or just save the money for your next trip). Remember, there's no rule that requires you to stay at an expensive resort.

Personally, I think it's a waste of time to move from one resort to another on the same island during a 7 night stay. Keep in mind that more than likely you'll have to vacate the one resort by 11AM and you can't check in to the other until after 3PM.

All the rooms do have ocean views. We stayed in a junior suite, so i can't personally speak as to the size of the superior or luxury rooms, but I would guess that they are a very nice size-- our room was quite spacious.

I don't know, i don't mind moving from one place to another if you're there a full week. Save Cap for last though definitely!

This is not a true budget trip, but I just can't justify all 7 nights at CJ. A few indulgent meals are a must! Thank you for your input!

You get a great view of the water and beach from the ground floor, and there is a lot to be said for walking straight out to the beach-no stairs.
