Nice hotel in Vancouver that won't break the bank?

I would use Priceline and choose the downtown area and bid for a four star. You can't go wrong with that - the four stars are all great hotels and the downtown area is certainly well located. I see that even if you pay full price for their four stars (and if you look at that you will see which hotels they use) the price is under $300 for all of them.

The hotel Goddesstogo refers to is actually Le Soleil not Du Soleil. That is in France.
Le Soleil is a beautiful suite hotel that is reasonably priced.
Opus hotel situated in Yaletown is a very trendy modern hotel that I booked for $150.00 per night in February.
I've heard Sutton Place is a great hotel as well.
