Nice hotel in Vancouver that won't break the bank?

Curious if anyone can recommend a nice hotel (can be a bit upscale -- as long as it's not $350 a night), that's well located and might have decent rates? Thanks.

The Sutton Place often has rates well below that, and it's a very nice hotel in a great central location.

I would use Priceline and choose the downtown area and bid for a four star. You can't go wrong with that - the four stars are all great hotels and the downtown area is certainly well located. I see that even if you pay full price for their four stars (and if you look at that you will see which hotels they use) the price is under $300 for all of them.

We liked Hotel du Soleil (a suite hotel).

I would check out the Delta Suites, the georgian court, the Opus and Tourism BC for any deals they may have

The hotel Goddesstogo refers to is actually Le Soleil not Du Soleil. That is in France.

Le Soleil is a beautiful suite hotel that is reasonably priced.

Opus hotel situated in Yaletown is a very trendy modern hotel that I booked for $150.00 per night in February.

I've heard Sutton Place is a great hotel as well.
