AIR NEW ZEALAND HELP, PLEASE
Has anyone flown on the Air NZ on their 767-300?
If so, how small/large is the business area vs the economy area?
I'm claustrophobic and generally prefer having a long distance between myself and a wall in front of me.
I am wondering if the longer seat pitch and wider seat in business that is less tight on space will be better or feel less restricted.
Anyone have any experience with this aircraft?
I don't love to fly. I have done long flights in economy (not Air NZ) and tolerated them before. I have never tried business.
I am considering it since on this flight the personal entertainment is not available except in business. Being able to watch a movie or play a game I pick is one of the things that makes flying more tolerable for me. Looking at a blank seat back reminds me how closed in I already feel.
I am trying to weigh the difference between the two types of seats.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

We just flew Air NZ in Business class from Christchurch to Melbourne but honestly I don't remember much about the plane. The personal entertainment was an individual portable DVD player and a selection of movies, but this might be because it was a short flight.
Have you checked www.seatguru.com??

Sorry I took so long to say thanks for the replies.
So, thanks for the replies.
I looked at seatguru before booking my flights (that I am still able to change).
I'm trying to get a feel for the aircraft from someone who has flown on it lately.
I am going to post on the airlines thread also, so, sorry for the repeat to anyone who also reads it there.
Any other replies very welcome.

My experience is that a higher pitch is "better or feel less restricted".

I answered the entertainment question on your Airlines forum thread.
I just wanted to clarify that the aircraft used between Christchurch and Melbourne are A320s. These are also scheduled for retrofitting to add on demand video sometime later this year, supposedly after the 763 retrofits are completed.
I tried to find you some photos on airliners.net but it doesn't appear that anyone has uploaded 763 front cabin pics there.

Chocolate Water Ice -
There's a Premium Economy Class that's in-between the two clases of service (both amenities wise and comfort zone wise) - the seats are a bit wider and the legroom's more spacious. You might want to check that out as well.
Hope this is helpful!
