Harmonique on a soi near the post office (walking diatance). Tongue Thai (near the Oriental), Gallery Cafe (walking distance).

Chinatown is also walking distance - lots of options there.

Kathie, thank you for those restaurants. Thinking of having drinks at a place with views of the river, and then going to a nearby restaurant.

I think the hotel across the river from the ROS has some nice views up and down the river.

Any thoughts on the bamboo bar? A must do or an overpriced miss?

Yes, the Millennium Hilton, which is the hotel across the river I think you mean, has a nice view from the 360 Bar up on the roof.

I really like the bamboo bar, yep it's expensive but then you are in the MO. go for one drink and listen to the jazz singer ( if they are on that night) I also LOVE the sky bar at the top of the State towers just a short walk from the MO.

I would do the state towers first and have a nightcap in the Bamboo bar. ( although I am not a night owl so it may be too early for you!)
