I second this endorsement. I did the same tour in February - don't have my notes handy to remember the guides name but he was great. It was well organized and a fun intro to Bangrak. I had just come from two weeks of cooking in Chiang Mai and Fang with some pros, but this tour was easy and fun and not at all too touristy for someone who loves food. Very nice intro into some areas of Bangkok that newbies might find intimidating. I headed back the next day to eat more. I loved that the guide, tho well rehearsed, did not seem overly so. For the price - do it!

Hubbie is a foodie and I am not. I just gave him the link and he thought it looked great. I said he can do that one day or night whilst I do something 'girly' like a spa treatment or shopping. Thanks for the info.

We also had a great time with BKK Food Tours. We did it in January. I think learning the history of the areas and general information provided by the guide as u walked and at the various locations was very interesting. Here's a link to my thread that discusses it in more detail.

We also enjoyed the Bangkok Food Tour, and had a wonderful guide, Olive or Oleaf?. We were a group of three with a young Australian woman,my husband and me. We even returned to one of the tour stops the next day.

I did this tour recently too. It's fantastic. Olive was my guide. I'm based in Tokyo, go to Bangkok often for business, and was looking for a unique cultural experience. This is a new company. It was great and I learned a lot. The best tour they offer is the full day off beat floating markets tour offered only on weekends. They go to secret spots, not the tourist spots. Very cool and you will learn a lot about Thai food and culture. Be sure to ask for Olive as your guide for both tours. She's wonderful.

Thanks for posting about this-- as I mentioned on another thread the Chinatown tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our recent stay in Bangkok.
