Kenya

Those of you who know and love Kenya but are somewhat concerned with stability in Kenya, please share your thoughts with us. I am aware that people continue to travel and enjoy her parks and reserves, but objectively speaking will Kenya survive the political instability? I realize it is impossible to predict the future of this great country but if I pose this question to a local, in-country tour operator, they may dismiss my concerns. This forum offers great travel suggestions, I am hoping to open an honest political debate on the future of travel to Kenya.

Any thoughts...?

With thanks.

Are you talking about the sex strike and his impact onto Kenya male's sanity? Or are you talking about the impact on to politics?

Honestly - I don't think political issues will have an impact on to tourism - for the time being but the greed shown by parts of the people in view to park/reserve fees which are cashed in without delivery any kind of service might have an impact in the long run......

Spassvogel,

I was refering to the political future facing Kenya and the impact on the future of tourism. I am hoping for an open public debate on this forum as perceived by those following the politics in Kenya.

Once again, with thanks.

Mkulove,
I very much doubt that any Fodorites are knowledgeable enough for the kind of debate you're looking for. You could post your question on this forum: http://jukwaa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general
I’ve never posted there myself, as I feel too ignorant.

Thanks for sharing the link, Nyamera. Lots of info and opinions on it. Now more of us can feel ignorant.
