Right on the Jekyll Island Club Wharf, in the middle of the historic district, Latitude 31 wins the prize for best location. The interior is understated and beachy-chic, with hard-wood floors and huge windows overlooking the sea. This is definitely the place to be for a romantic sunset. The menu has lots of seafood, from wild Georgia shrimp to jumbo crab cakes, but there are also several meat and pasta dishes. There is a kids' menu to boot.

    Sunset Applause

    My trip to the GA coast is not complete without having dinner at this restaurant. The last time I was there there was a moment of silence as the sun set and then everyone actually applauded. This is the most romantic place I know to have a great meal with a sunset view of the river and marsh and when you leave be sure to experience the magic of the sprawling branches of the live oaks in the historic district.
