Exposed stone walls and massive wooden beams channel mountain huts in the lobby of this busy family-run hotel behind the Gare Cornavin. Studios have kitchenettes, dormer windows, cathedral ceilings, and monthly rates. Guest rooms have clean lines, rosy wallpaper, white-satin duvets, blue-gray trim, flat-screen TVs, and double-glazed windows; those facing forward also have a terrific view of the TGV high-speed train as it arrives from Paris (for anyone traveling by TGV, this is the place to stay: the hotel entrance is a few steps from the boarding area).
