Which Key is best?
Hi, I am a Florida resident interested in visiting the FL keys. I went to key west years ago, but don't remember too much.
I'd like to surprise my dad with a relaxing, laidback vacation (he works A LOT). It would probably be a weekend trip around november or early december, and I was just curious which key I should visit.
Any past experiences or advice is most welcome! Thanks.

I like Islamorada first and Key West second. Islamorada is closer and more restaurants, bars and hotels are on the water. It's very laid back and beautiful.
Key West is more for partying. There are some hotels on the water but they are expensive. The best experience is to stay in an old Conch house hotel.
So less driving and more laid back OR more driving, more partying. Both are good options.

And another vote for Islamorada.
I've been visiting the Keys since I was a kid (decades ago), and I've seen all the changes over time. Islamorada is the one place that calls me back (back then our family spent our time mostly in Marathon and some in Key West, but they don't do it for me, anymore).

Islamorada is a good choice.
If he likes to fish there are lots of places off the old bridges and also opportunities for a party boat.
For a moderate place to stay, check the Hampton Inn located there.
An excellent place to eat, Lazy Days, is located nearby.
