Where to eat in Key West?

We're all packed and ready to head out for our first family trip to Key West. But now we're wondering where to have a fabulous Christmas dinner. Does anyone have suggestions?

Many places will already be booked so do not wait too long. Here are some ideas.
The Westin ($39) and The Casa Marina ($48)and the Hyatt ($42)are all doing an all you can eat brunch buffet.
Turtle Kraals (Southwest), A&B Lobster House (fine dining) are having specials in addition to the regular menu.
Bagatelle is having a special menu for $50 a person.

I am sure there are more out there but these are the ones I know about. Here is a site with many places in KW listed. Look through it and if you see something you like, give them a call and ask if they will be open Christmas Day and see if they will fax you a menu if they are doing something special. Have a wonderful time.

The Rooftop Cafe on Front Street or El Meson de Pepe just off Front Street for a great Cuban meal.

Blue Heaven on Thomas assuming they are open. They were closed last Thanksgiving.

Kind of in this order at the Key West Bight: Alonzo's Oyster Bar, the Conch Republic Seafood Co, or The Half Shell Raw Bar.

Santiago's Bodega just past Chapman Lane on Petronia for tapas and Sangria.

You might also consider two of my favorites: Alice's and Louie's Backyard. Both have menus online and the food is wonderful! Pricey but great!
