My husband & I will be in Key West the weekend of May 15th.....can one of you locals recommend any inexpensive restaurants for dinner?

For good but not too expensive, Alonzo's Oyster Bar sitting o their veranda overlooking the harbor and from 4:30 - 6:30. This is thier happy hour and all of the appitizers except oysters on the half-shell, are 1/2 priced. You could order drinks and just order several apps, peel-your-own shrimp (they have 3 types) a bucket of littlenects, calimari, whatever, and just sit and sample. And they make a great grilled or blackened catch-of-the-day. It's on a chalkboard inside, so ask. And they have a good selection of wine by the glass.

If you do this at 6:00, you still have time to hustle over to the Half Shell Bar bar where their oysters on the half shell are .50 each until 7:00. Be sure to try a Key West Sunset ale on draft.

Pepe's is great for breakfast - http://www.pepescafe.net/ & is right across from BO's Fish Wagon.

Marcia, we really enjoyed B.O's for lunch (if you like fish) also, we liked Fogartys for dinner. Right on Duval outside and you can people watch!

For something a little more special and a bit more expensive, you can sit at the bar at Mangoes, right on Duval Street but set up a little bit, and have a drink and an appitizer - tuna tempura. Worth it.
