Looking for breakfast places in Charleston, South Carolina
Hubby and I will be staying at the Planters Inn - 112 North Market Street for 3 nights next week. Are there any places nearby that serve a decent breakfast without spending a lot of money? Thanks.

We've eaten several times at the Hominy Grill. Good food, good prices.

There is one right down Meeting Street (The Planters Inn is on the corner of Meeting and Market Streets) on the right just past Charleston Place about two blocks from your hotel.
I can't think of the name.
Also, walk a block south on Meeting to Market and hang a right and Sweetwater Cafe is on the left.
The best brunch by far is either Poogan's Porch (best biscuits on the planet) or Jestine's Kitchen.
Both are very close to your hotel but not cheap.

You might also try Joseph's Restaurant on Meeting Street, just a couple of blocks from where you're staying. This might be the place GoTravel recommended. They're open for breakfast and lunch. They have some interesting items like sweet potato pancakes.
