Lime tree bay resort in Islamorada
Hi
I am getting Lime tree bay resort in Islamorada for 2 nights at the rate of $95 (+ taxes) per night via a website onetravel.com? As I from UK, I am not sure whether it is a good deal or not? Anyone use this website ever? Any comments?
Thanks

That rate is OK, not the best or worst. The rates run from 79 to 105US. It is a nice clean hotel by the water, not a lot to do around there except fish or sit by the pool. We have stayed there and it's nice, but we like to stay where there is more going on (we don't fish and have a 9 yr. old). Hope this helps!

English lady, what time of year would you be there? Rates in the Keys vary greatly depending on season.
I've stayed at LTB resort and very much enjoyed it as a kick-back-with-a-good-book vacation spot.

We just got back from vacation and stayed at the Lime Tree Bay Resort. I will say their web-site is great and had us fooled. We would not stay there again if we were offered a free room. Our "suite" had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two tiny kitchens but there was no "sitting area" unless you consider the beds as "sitting areas". The balcony was nice but the traffic noise was ridiculous. They told us it quieted down at night. Very true. Instead of 200 cars a minute it trickled down to maybe 5. I don't think I slept the entire time I was there. In addition, there is basically NOTHING to do unless you enjoy swimming in their cold pool or hopping in a kayak and paddling around everyday. Be prepared to drive to do anything. We disliked this resort so much that we ended up driving out to Key West and staying there for 3 nights of our 5 night vacation. The tide must have been "out" when we got back because it literally smelled like s***. Unfortunately, we had to pay for an empty room back at the Lime Tree Bay Resort. Good luck.
