Kauai North Shore Condos- Sealodge

We are Planning Our 1st Trip to Kauai next year for our 40th wedding Anniversary and are considering Renting a Condo at Sealodge in Princeville, on the North Shore. We Have read the Discussions on Princeville Condos which was very helpful BUT the replies were from way back in 2012. This now being 2015, we thought that we would start a new, yet similar Topic. This Topic is more directly related to the SEA-LODGE Property! So 1st off, Can anyone who KNOWS more Detailed Info ( and more Current Info ) Chime in on a couple of initial questions! We have not at all been successful in locating a Building / Condo # Location Map so we can tell where each of the Buildings are Located and how to tell what Floor the Condo is Located On. We have gotten our decision, so far, down to 3 Different Condos in the "D" Building > D3 ( Ground Floor we believe ), D6 ( 2nd Floor we Believe ) & D9 ( Third-Top Floor we Believe )! Is there anyone here who has actually stayed in any of these RECENTLY ( Sept 2014 to present ) who could tell us about this Property's & these Units Conditions / View / Experience, etc ? Thank you so much for the replies. We need this trip to be as perfect as can be possible!

I would pose these questions to the rental office 808-826-6751. They are the best informed about specific condos, and they are not likely to deceive you unless they are evil (in which case you may wish to book elsewhere).

I have been traveling to Kauai since 2007 and have stayed in the Sealodge every trip except one. I love the Sealodge! Amazing views for a great price!

All of the units are individually owned so the decor will differ but all are true to the pictures presented. I have never had a problem. I have stayed in the B10, D7, and D8. I looked at the pictures from your choice of units and you can't go wrong with either.

It would be hard to tell if it's a 2nd or 3rd floor from pictures but with balcony you know you are not on the ground so 2nd or 3rd won't matter. The ground floor will not have the balcony with the railing so that's how you can tell the difference. Here is an example of a ground floor unit: http://hestara.com/e2.htm

Here is an aerial view of the buildings. I have never seen/don't know if there is a map of where the individual units are located. http://www.hawaiirevealed.com/wp-con...r-sealodge.jpg

The view speaks for itself. The pictures/views from the units are looking into are really how it looks! The condos are nice; the views are amazing; and the prices are great! There has always been a nice breeze through each of the condos I have stayed as there is no a/c.

I am actually going to Kauai, for the 7th time, and staying at the Sealodge, again, at the end of this month. This time I am trying a new, to me, unit. http://www.oceanfrontrealty.com/vren...Code=se9&Cat=S

If you haven't found this site, there are more units with:
http://hestara.com/

I love helping with all things Kauai so just ask!

I know nothing about Sealodge beyond its location, so just jumping in to congratulate you on reaching 40. We celebrated ours late last summer with friends in a house in Haena, near the end of the road on the north shore. You can't make a much better choice than Kaua'i.

Then, just to tempt you, we've also spent 10 nights in this place: http://jalbum.net/en/browse/user/alb...61kl75mdfjqkmm. In over a dozen trips, my bride of 40 years says it's her favorite place to stay in the islands.

Congrats, and happy planning!

I've stayed at various Sealodge units countless times--more than ten different units. I'll be back (in E8) next month. I've booked at times through Hestara, but more often book through http://www.kauai-vacations-ahh.com. Check them both to see larger inventory.

There are pros and cons to ground floor versus upper floors. I love being able to walk right out onto the bluff and feeling so close to the ocean, but a balcony is nice, too.

Personally, I prefer the location of buildings E thru J.
B is set too far back for me.

You're going to have an amazing trip regardless of which unit you stay in. The differences between them are minor and the decorations and furnishings are all similar. I've never seen one in bad shape or disrepair. The rental agents wouldn't allow that. It would hurt their reputation.

Happy anniversary!
