advice for maui to pearl?
leaving for maui on sunday, already have plane tickets. Decided at last minute to visit Pearl Harbor. Any recommendations for day tours, and is it worth the approximately $200 per person for the tour?

It would be easy to purchase your own round trip tickets from Maui to Oahu, get a rental car, and go to Pearl Harbor without a tour. If you are history buffs, you may also want to visit the USS Missouri and the Bowfin submarine. After several hours at Pearl Harbor you would still have time for sightseeing on your own in the rental car. Maybe a drive up to the north shore, a trip to Waikiki , or even both.

The last time I checked the tours from Maui to Pearl Harbor were suspended.
You have to do it solo. Also heard you can get a reduced fare on Aloha (interisland) with a AAA card. Don't know how it works but read it here on the chat boards.

I would save the trip to Pearl Harbor for a return visit. In my experience almost every flight destination in Hawaii will have the option of connecting through (HNL) airport on Oahu.
On your next visit to Hawaii you can easily combine Pearl Harbor trip and visiting another island (e.g. Kauai or Big Island) into the same trip and may even save a few bucks on interisland flights.
