Hi everyone! I'll be 32 when I go to Belize. I'm planning on going in October this year. I was wondering if anyone can suggest dive shops, hotels, and places to go on the mainland. I'll be traveling by myself and can't decide on places to go. Thank you.

We've been to Placencia, Caye Caulker and San Ignacio. On tours we've been to Caracol and Tikal. I tried to put everything on our website. Caye Caulker is our favorite but isn't for every one.

Thanks... I've actually booked my flight and some other things... I'm going to dive from a liveaboard for a week. Before that, I'll be spending about 2 1/2 days in Belize before traveling to Guatemala. Since Guatemala is cheaper, I'm spending more time there. I might come back to Belize next year (spring time?) as my mom wants to go diving.... If it's really enjoyable as people say and as I experience (diving), I'll go back with my mom... While in Belize I'd like to see Caracol, ATM and the Belize Zoo. In Guatemala, I'm planning on seeing Tikal and whatever "floats my boat". After diving, I'll have 1 1/2 days before my flight home.. I'm thinking on staying on Ambergris Caye... we'll see..

Just be sure to check with the area tour agencies and the staff at your hotel - you should be able to safely do everything you hope to, but there have been some armed road block/robberies lately near Caracol and the ATM and I don't know if they caught the perps yet (picture of them were posted on the Belize Forum a week or 2 ago). Have a wonderful trip and be sure to grace us with a travelogue when you return (please!).
