Just returned from PDC on Sunday, only vacation I've ever been wrapped up in a blanket on the beach, we had ONE sunny day out of 7, locals told me January and Febuary are always like that, I would change plans if u can, besides it;s the biggest TOURIST place I've ever been in, YUK.......

We returned from PDC on Monday. We were only there five days. Two of the days were cool, windy and cloudy. Other days were pleasant, but not hot. Evenings were way too cool for my taste, had to wear jeans, shoes, and jackets to be comfortable.

Previous poster obviously didn't like the place, we had a ball. Certainly were lots of tourists, guess that's to be expected. Personally, I can't wait to go back.

We were thinking about going to PDC in two weeks, but looking at the weather history for that time of the year, decided to go to Ixtapa. I like warm beach weather with balmy nights, and the Mayan Riviera looks to be a bit cool at that time, whereas Ixtapa has warm weather year round.

I am going to PDC in two weeks also, and just took a look at www.weather.com. It looks like the average temps for this time of year are 20 to 27 degrees Celsius (sorry, I'm Canadian and don't know the conversion to Fahrenheit!) but the forecast for the next ten days is slightly below the norms.

Well this string of posts sure has me depressed. My husband & I are going to Playa Del Carmen in late February to get away from this awful cold NY weather. We are blowing a lot of money, returning to the place we had our fabulous Honeymoon in July. of course we do not expect that sort of heat, but weather.com consistently says high 70s to mid-80s. I was thinking that with the high humidity it posts, that it would definitely seem warm. But those returning are saying this is not the case? Now I am seriously WORRIED. We are going to pay/finalize on Sunday. What are thoughts PLEASE from the folks who just returned? E-mail me!! Thanks.

Upset,
Shawnie :\

Shawnie ....We are going also the week of Feb 28th -- but don't panic!!!
That is 5 weeks away and alot can change. I am sure it will be in the mid-80's which is what it always is when we go to Aruba and it seems the perfect temperature. It is bound to warm up before the end of February - -at least I HOPE so - since I just paid the balance on my hotel bill!
Let's call out the sun gods!!
