Weather Rivera Maya December/January?

We are thinking of going to Mexico for the 2005 holidays (Btwn Christmas and New Years). Is it warm enough for the beach at this time of year? We've never done a "beach" vacation, so I'd hate to blow it by having it be too cold to enjoy.

Thanks,
Lauri

In January 2004, (arriving 12/31) we spent time between Cancun and Tulum and then driving to Merida, and ferry to Cozumel. The weather was very nice and warm. Sunny every day. No rain for 10 days.

We were the Riviera Maya from 1/19-1/26. One day overcast and in the mid 70's, the rest of the time sunny and mid 80's every day - perfect beach weather.

You might want to consider booking very soon as the best places fill quickly for the holidays.

I agree with Pepper. Just checked Ana y Joses in Tulum and its sold out for the holidays.

Plan early. Good weather.
