Ocean View versus Garden View at the Royal Hideaway
A lot of helpful post to my previous message "RH, or Moon Palace, or Adventura Spa Palace" I am going to book my honey moon today and now I need some more advice. Aside from the "view" are there any other major/significant differences between a Garden vs. Ocean view room at RH? I could save a few hundred dollars if I book the Garden view. Need help. Thanks!

I notice there are no replies to this...did you get any answer elsewhere? We're wondering the same exact question for our honeymoon in June. I'd love to know --ps. do you mind me asking what kind of pricing you got and for how many days?

I don't mind answering that question. I decided to go through a local travel agent to book our honeymoon. I will be paying approximately 3,000 for five days and four nights for a ocean view room at the RH. I thought that was a bit pricey but I didn't have to pay for the trip up front, which worked out better for me. I imagine if I had booked the trip via a website I would probably have gotten a better deal. My price includes airfare and round trip airport transfers. Hopes this helps. I'm looking forward to the trip!

There are not many oceanview rooms at RH and the resort is usually at capacity so when we went, our hoped for upgrade didn't materialize and since I am one of those people for whom an oceanview is important, I felt "closed in" without a view. So if it is important to you, make sure you reserve that category. If it is lots more money, I don't think it is really worth it because everything else is the same. Depends on your priorities. Even though I like an oceanview, I won't pay $200 more a day for one because we are just not in our room that much.

I found a map online for the grounds.

Looks like the Royal View (and the suites) have ocean views. I still can't find any info on whether or not these are top and bottom rooms or just top or whatever. I have a price for a "garden view" of $3,000 pp for 11 days and $3,800 pp for an ocean view (Airfare, etc included).
If anyone has a breakdown of the room differences, I would be really appreciative. The RH website isn't very forthcoming!
