hilton hawaiian village HHV help

Message: Forgot to include this with other posting. We are going to be staying 8 days at Hilton Hawaiian in the Ali'l tower, partial ocean view. Does anyone have any tips for maybe getting a cheap upgrade to ocean view or any other tips for the hotel? I am traveling with wife and my three kids.

Great resort! The Ali tower is wonderful. Most rooms in that tower are partial ocean view- I believe. But-our view was incredible. We could see Diamond Head and a perfect view of the ocean (even though it was classified as partial ocean view).
Remember when you get to the resort, that the Ali tower has its own check-in, do not wait in line at the main check-in!

Just ask nicely when you check in. But they have been totally full recently, even some overbooked days, so don't be disappointed if you don't get one.

You can ask for a smoking room (you don't have to smoke). You might get lucky. We did. We got upgraded from a less than ocean view (2nd flr) to a 7th flr (parital ocean).

we went during spring break and had a partial ocean view and got upgraded to a jr. suite, incredible! it had a king bed a sofa sleeper and we had a roll away 2 (teenagers). a huge wrap around lani with a ocean front, diamond head and pool view, i think it was room 1006 or 1016, but it did cost us about $100.00 a night extra. one of these rooms normally run about $650.00 a night and we got it for $349 a night. if you are unhappy with your room call down and tell them and they will offer other rooms to look at for a good rate. good luck, its a great resort, we are going back next spring.
