CABOS/VACA
Were going to Cabos for the first time and any suggestions on places to see/swimming,eat, adventure please let me know. Were going in about x1 week. I heard that it was around the rainy season?? Were pretty laid back like an adventure and try new things. If you can recommend some of the most "authentic" places to eat some of the "hole in the wall" places are the best. We really like seafood!!!! Swimming is
definately top priority and any suggestions on some beautiful places to take pic's.
We are hoping there are street markets, etc... Also if you have any info. on trans. we are not renting a car and thought of taking the "Subercabos"?? buses.

To get from the airport to a hotel in Cabo San Lucas I recommend arranging it online in advance using TransCabo booked thru www.cabosanlucastours.com. Only $15.50 per person (it's a 29 mile trip so taxis are more like ~$80). That's what I did my first trip earlier this year and it worked great.
Yes it's true, you are going towards the end of the rainy season (Aug/Sept are the wettest months of the year). But usually doesn't rain all day, just blows thru.
"Authentic"/downtown: Gordo Lele's taco shop on Matamoros (off L. Cardenas near the Mar de Cortez hotel). It's very cheap, delicious, entertaining! For dinner go to Maros Shrimp House on Hildago for seafood, much of their menu is by weight (so much shrimp, so much lobster, etc.) and served w/ melted butter, rice, vegetables, in a very casual local atmosphere. These two places duel for the #1 & #2 best restaurants in Cabo designation over on Trip Advisor because they are so popular.
For breakfasts I loved Mama's Royal Cafe downtown or The Office on Medano Beach. My favorite places for dinner were Maros already mentioned, plus Misiones de Kino (seafood) & Capo San Giovanni (italian) which are a bit more high end places but lovely, both with outdoor seating.
There's only one swimmable beach in CSL, that's Medano Beach (lined with beach bars, restaurants, activities). Everyplace else is too rough and dangerous to be out in the sea. But you can get around by water taxi and boat to see the scenery.

Suze, thanks for the info., have you used the bus system in Cabos (Subercabos bus system)?? I have been reading a little on line about the buses and thought this would be a less expensive way to get a round and also we are planning on walking a lot. We are staying about 20-30 mins. away from Cabos and thought instead of renting or taxis we would use the bus?
