Sadly, Four Fort Street Guesthouse closed about 10 years ago. My recommendation for a small inn in Belize City is D'Nest Inn B&B. Wonderful owners, in a safe area off the Northern Highway. Around US$75 double including a delicious full breakfast.

thank you so much for the update and the recommendation...it is sad that Four Fort Street is there no longer...rarely have we remembered a place with such charm...in a very offbeat way...
Or the Great House, on the same street as Fort St, but closer to the sea and across the st from the Radisson
The Great House looks wonderful..plus the added attraction of dining right there...a nice idea after arriving from a long flight..thanks for the tip
Another option close to the Tourist Village is the Chateau Caribbean.

The radisson is another option but in my opinion none are more than 3 star and the downtown district isnot the ideal place to walk around after sundown, in my opinion.
