We are 3 couples going in july to sail from Placencia to Ambergris cay in a catamaran.
Any idea of the better islands to stop, if they have restaurants, and also advise in hotel in Placencia and hotel in Ambrgris Cay, on the beac.

Roberts Grove and Turtle Inn are two fine upscale inns. Laru Beya or Chabil Mar for up to 3 bdrm condos. Ambergris is our most visited destination and a wide range of options.

What about hotels in Ambergris cay on the beach, and mayan ruins near San Pedro,

Stop at South Water Caye and dine at Blue Marlin, St George's Caye Victoria House is the best of many of great options on Ambergris. Lamanai day trip from San Pedro to the mainland is wonderful.

We are stating our catamaran trip in Placencia and going back to Placencia, our concern is we can buy groceries and meat like beef, chicken and pork, good salads in a supermarket in Placencia,
also if there are some places for going down to eat in the islands near Placencia.
