What to do in Rome on a Sunday?

Jump to last reply

My fiance and I are leaving for our Mediterranean cruise soon and I'm trying to plan an itinerary. Unfortunately, our one day in Rome is on a Sunday. Anybody have any good suggestions on what to do? The main thing we wanted to see was the Colosseum, and from what I can tell online that won't be closed (I hope!!). We're pretty laid back people that would be just as happy getting lost in the city as we would be in a museum so that's probably good in this situation, but of course we wanted to see some of the usual suspects. Also... I really want a gelato :)
Any suggestions are very much appreciated!
