Pantheon Hotel Suggestions

My wife and I will be in Rome for a few nights from Oct 31 - Nov 2. We want to do split our time between site seeing, shopping and eating. Any recommendations for a hotel in the 200 euro range?

Can anyone name their 2 favorite restaurants in Rome?

Thanks

We stayed at the Albergo del Senato Hotel in March and found it to be very comfortable. It is adjacent to the Pantheon and I believe their rooms are within your desired price range.

Whatever you do, don't stay at the Albergo del Sole al Pantheon. See recent thread on this site entitled "Del Senato vs. Albergo del Sole" for further discussion. We're going with the Del Senato for our trip to Rome in October and expecting great things.

Hi
We were in Rome last January. We stayed at the Santa Chira, by the Pantheon. We also were able to walk to the other historic areas, including the Vatican and the Jewish Ghetto from the location. We like it it very much and plan to stay there agasin next visit.

Good morning, have four favorite ristorantes for Rome, could not reduce.
1. LA CAPRICCIOSA, Largo dei Lombardi, 8, $$$, excellant roman food and pizza, located about a block north of the Condotti just left of the Corso.
2. AMBASCIATA D'ABRUZZO, via Pietro Tacchini, 26, $$$ very good food, fills up early with tourists and natives, located in north Parioli district of Rome, taxi to and fro...
3.Ristorante NINO, via Borgognona, 11 $$$$, Excellant food especially the roman artichokes. Located about half block south of the Spanish Steps to the right on the Borgognona.
4.Ristorante 34, via Mario de Flori, 34
very good food, located a block north of the Spanish Steps.
All ristorantes except the first are a must for making reservations, making them the night before is a good suggestion, have the concierge make these for you.. Have used these ristorantes over the years and La Capricciosa since 1971...
