Rome hotel suggestions

We'll be in Rome for about 3 days in early May and would like hotel suggestions. Good ones (though not the most expesive) and convenient to historical sites. Thanks!

I'll start off recommending the 3-star hotel Albergo Cesari on via di Pietra, around the corner from the Pantheon. You can find info about it on www.venere.com. Others have spoken highly of the Albergo del Senato and Santa Chiara, also near the Pantheon. The Residenza Farnese, located near the Campo di Fiori, has also been recommended here as has the Due Torre near the Piazza Navona. If you do a search, you can find others.

We stayed at the Snata Ciara this past May and couldn't have been more pleased.

Directly behind the Pantheon. Nice hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Due Torri last year. It is on a very quiet side street just a few steps from the Piazza Navona. It's a great deal for the money and the staff there was extremely helpful. Ask for one of the rooms on the top floor with a patio overlooking the rooftops. I just can't say enough good things about this place. We think that it's the best kept secret in Rome!

http://www.hotelduetorriroma.com/

We stayed at the Cosmopolita in Piazza Venezia in September. Beautfiul hotel with great breakfasts and gracious staff, very centrally located. We walked everywhere, except to the Vatican. Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Forum all less than 15 minutes away by walking.

Hotel Rex on via Torino, very nice, good location, rated 3-4 stars, and worth the cost.
