Looking for Judi, Re: Croatia

Judi, One more question about Miro. Did you find his taxi comfortable. Do you know if it had A/C? Thanks, WT

Hi WT. We seem to remember that Miro drove a Mercedes. Whatever it was, it was very comfortable. I can't say about AC as we were there in November.

You must be getting quite excited about your trip!

I'm sorry I missed this post before. Thanks, Scarlett, for the heads up.

Thanks Judi, Just wanted to make sure it was comfortable. I am getting very excited, but I am so busy and stressed out. I have apx. 25 guests coming to a wedding in Positano and 10 more Italian friends, so I have a lot to worry about right now. One of my Alitalia flights was cancelled and I had to re-work that, but luckily I was able to. I was trying to find the thread where you recommend a great town to stop in along the drive from Split to Dubrovnik, but I haven't found it yet. I am sure I have it somewhere printed out and online, but if you remember, I would appreciate you posting it again. Thanks, WT

Hi WT. Sometime ago on one of your other posts I recommended that you stop at PODGORA for maybe lunch or cold drink. Its about an hour south of Split, just a little village but gorgeous, we have stayed here many times since 1967 and have made wonderful Croatian friends. Cafe Roko for good cheap lunch, great salads with the blue Adriatic just steps away. Have a fabulous trip.

Patricia, Thanks so much for answering. It was your post I was thinking of, but I am using Judi's driver so I got confused and was seaching through Judi's post. I am definitely going to stop for lunch at Podgora. I can't wait!!! Should I see anything else while I am there? WT
