Hotel

My husband and I are travelling with my 15 and 6 y/o daughters. I need to know what hotels in Athens(June 18-20) and Fira/Oia (June 15 to 18) with a very a good Caldera view. I can spend between 300 to 500 US dollars per night.

It is thoughtful these days to quote your budget in Euros these days because alas the Dollar is tanking daily, and responders have to do the calculations, in order to answer you. Here's the best, fastest currency conversion site -- http://www.xe.com/ucc/ Oh woe, your budget translates into $206 - $304.

In Athens are you looking for a "Quad" room, or for adjoining or connecting rooms?. You might look at Hotel Central (adjoining rooms end of corridor= about €100 per room), Hotel Cypria (ask for the new wing), HOtel Plaza has triples I don't know about quads, Hotel AVA has suites and a divine location , but I think is over your budget. Here's a trip advisor thread asking about accommodations for a family of 4 or 5 -- it may be useful http://tinyurl.com/3j2s5yg

Thanks for the prompt reply. I just made a refundable reservation at King George Hotel. I was also looking at Electra Palace, for central location. Any suggestion for santorini? Oia vs. Fira?

With 206-343 euros per night you should be able to find something.

Check www.kafieris-santorini.com They may have quads within your budget. Don't know about pool or view. Located in Firostephani. In Oia check out www.goldensunsetvillas.com Also www.delfinivillas.com Think they have an apt. for 4 Also www.filoteravillas.gr They may be too pricey?? www.villailias.gr May have studios for 4. They have pool and views. I'm sure you'll get more to go on from the regulars on this forum.

For Athens you could try a google search under hotels in Athens with quad rooms.

I know it by name only. The website looks fine. You can check over on tripadvisor.com for reviews of all these hotels.
