Santorini - Oia accomodations

Looking for accomodation recommendations for a family of 5 (all adults) in Oia in early July. We are looking places that have a view over the caldera and a pool if possible. We are not looking for a budget hotel nor ultra expensive one. We are looking for a nice somewhat upscale location which gives us the true greecian expierence/feeling. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

In July prices will range from about €140-1600/night, so you need to state what your maximum daily room budget will be per person....in Euro, not adjectives.

I am thinking approx 300 euros per night per room. Thinking that a room will hold 2-3 adults.

Check the websites for Strogili Houses, Rimida Villas, Lava Oia's, Nostos Apartments, Atrina Houses, La Perla Villas, Kima Villas, Filotera Villas, Caldera Villas, Aris Caves, Ifestio Villas, www.myblue.gr, Villa Marina, Lucky Houses, Golden Sunset Villas, Esperas Houses and Marizan Villas. If your choice doesn't have a pool there is a very nice "public access" pool, the Lioyerma Cafe/Pool, at the sunset end of the village. As far as I know it's free of charge as long as you purchase food and/or drinks.

I have stayed at Oia Mare Villas Hotel http://www.santorini-hotels.info/san...are-Villas.asp . The room had a very nice view to the sea and the hotel in general was very nice. It had a lot of facilities and a swimming pool. I think that it fits your budget. The link I have posted above can show you how it looks like. Have a nice trip!

Oia Mare has a beautiful view but you should know that the view of the caldera is partially blocked and there are more steps to reach this hotel than for any other hotel in Oia.

Our family of 5 stayed at the Esperas Traditional Houses mentioned above. Upscale feel, yet reasonably priced for the summer. Nice pool, view and staff. I highly recommend it.

brotherleelove,

Do all of the accomodation recommendations you provided above have a view of the caldera? I thought I had read somewhere that some of them did not.

Also, do you know which ones have private verandas?

Thanks for your help...as always!

All those on the list above have a full caldera view except for Marizan Villas, Esperas and Golden Sunset Villas. They have full sunset views and partial caldera views.

Privacy is relative. If walls were erected tall enough to make one veranda private it might block the view of the room next door. It really just depends on which hotel and which room how much privacy is available. Some do have full privacy, but I can't say for sure which are the most private .
