Santorini Hotel in Oia

There are so many hotels/apartments on Oia that we just can't decide and we don't want to miss anything. We want to stay in Oia and was wondering if some of you can list the nicer hotels/apartments that are around 150-250 euros/night. Hotel needs to have a pool as well.

Thanks!

Pricing will depend somewhat on what time of the year you're there. Check Volcano's Villas, Rimida Villas, Nostos Apartments, Nikos Villas, Strogili Houses, Kima Villas, La Perla Villas, Caldera Villas, Esperas, Oia Mare, Fanari Villas, Filotera Villas and Alta Mare.

I stayed in the Chelidonia Villas last May and really enjoyed them. They were great answering replies and questions via email.

We stayed at Fanari Villas. Excellent! Out on the point with breathtaking views. Wonderful rooms! Esperas was below us. Also nice but more crowded. I am not as excited about the location of Volcano's Villas and other places near them. Brotherleelove probably knows the name of the place just above Fanari. Was it Sunset Villas? it was reasonably priced with no pool.

If you are not there in the heat of summer...pass on the pool. The pools on the Caldera side are only heated by the sun! chilly!

Hey everyone. Another confused traveler here trying to choose a hotel in Oia for around $200/night in late Sept. The comment about the pool at that time of year is one I'm wondering about. Fanari Villas is too expensive for us. brotherleelove hasn't recommended Golden Sunset Villas or Chelidonia before (that I can find). Its hard to tell a facility's location. I have been diligently checking individual websites. Should I know something about location before booking? I think the most important thing to us is a relatively quiet and private terrace with a view on which to enjoy breakfast and afternoon/evening wine. Got a very nice price quote from Rimda Villas.

Hi Racktacular, we were just in Oia on a cruise so did not stay at any hotel to recommend. I just wanted to tell we stopped at a restaurant with a wonderful view and ordered two cokes. The bill was the equivalent to $8.00! Our tour guide told us that was not unusual. I think if I were staying on the island I would find a local grocery and make purchases to have in our room. Just a suggestion.

Not true, I recommend Chelidonia and the GSV often if they fit the need.

For $200 check Aspa Villas, Delfini Hotel, Old Oia Houses, Casa Sofia, Lena's House and Aris Caves. These have a caldera view but no sunset view.

OK, I didn't realize there would be a caldera view without a sunset view. Sunset suggestions?

I know I'm getting pesky, but brotherleelove is just so helpful along with Travelerjan!

There's only one with sunset view, Ether Studios, in that price range.

Best grocery store for variety and price in Oia is by the bus station back behind the hostel, if I remember rightly. Nice couple run it.

Golden Sunset Villas had a great view and we walked past it several times since it was so close to Fanari and people really enjoyed their breakfast out on the patio. It is quiet in that region.
