Weather In T & C
We were planning to go to T & C in Late March/early April but have read some posts about the water being cool at that time of year. (I didnt realise T & C was in the Atlantic !) We are wanting a place with great beaches, where we can snorkel (preferably some good restaurants) - where can we go at this time of year? Have only been to Grand Cayman in the Caribbean before. Any info greatly appreciated.

Gill,
There is about a 95% chance that you will have spectacular weather in T&C in late March/early April.
The Turks and Caicos are considerably further south than the Bahamas and by then even the Bahamas are past the danger of really cool weather. You will find the water somewhat cooler than the Caribbean but still comfortable for snorkeling.
It's a gorgeous destination, go and enjoy!

Actually, Mary, North Caicos Island is on the exact same latitude as the southernmost of the Bahamian islands.

But the central and main islands of the Bahamas are 200 miles north of the center of the T&C's.

People tend to forget just how large an area the Bahamian islands cover. It's really quite impressive...450 miles across.

The weather will be great. Put that worry out of your mind. The beaches and the snorkling are some of the best in the caribbean.(been to 19 islands) Shopping is minimal. I thought the prices were a bit high.(6.99 for a bag of Ruffles potato chips) Shop at the IGA. Grab a burger at Sharkbite for me.

safe travels
repect
