Just returned from Paradisus Punta Cana with no problems. And I am the one person in our party who always seems to be effected the most by travelers discomfort. I was extra careful not to drink any tap water including coffee maker and toothbrush. And even on the beach bars they will give you bottled water if you request. But that rule is pretty much for all of DR not just Paradisus.

Lisa: I would love to hear more about your trip, especially regarding sporting activities. How is the water? Is it good to snorkle right at the resort? Do they have Hobie Cats? I heard they had a snorkle excursion. Did you go on it? I also read that they have a glass bottom boat. Is that true? Did you do any horseback riding? Sorry if I am asking alot of questions, but any and all information is great.
Oh...one more...do you have to pay if you want lobster, or is that included.
Thanks so much for any help.

Glass bottom boat, snorkeling, non-motor boats were all included. Must admit though, this vacation was strictly "beach bum" week for us. No tours, not even snorkeling. The beach was so wonderful, we just walked endlessly and floated when a cool off was needed. The water was very calm and clean, as was the beach. Must state was nicer that some of the other resorts we walked past.
Yes, the lobster is free. Had it our first night at Marina restaurant. Was wonderful! They serve it with lime instead of draw butter, but will melt up some butter for you if you ask.
Also, state you liquor preference if you have one. Instead of asking for a rum & coke, state Bacardi (or whatever) and coke or you will just get the basic bar booze.
Was a wonderful vacation. Already planning with our travel agent for 2005 return.
Anything else let me know or you can emial me directly at [email protected].
