We were in Cancun last summer at the Cancun Palace which is one of the Palace resorts. We went on a day tour of the Moon Palace. Unfortunately we didn't know we would spend 2 hours on a time share sales pitch. Anyway, the resort is massive, but very nice. It is very spread out (actually two hotels in one) so plan on lots of walking. The rooms are beautiful, many with ocean views. The pool is really nice too, one of those long meandering interconnected pools. Many activities and watersports available too.

Down sides-The beach is gross. While I don't care for the Cancum hotel strip (it was a cheap family getaway), I felt the Cancun beaches were nice, great water though a little rough when we were there. The Moon palace is covered with seaweed and from what I hear, all the time. The water is also green, not blue. So if you are looking for a beatiful beach-this is not the place. The food was average. I felt the food at the Cancun place was avereage to fair and the food here not much better (ate 3 meals). The hotel is also far away from downtown, but vey close to the airport.

I'm not sure what you are looking for in a resort. I would consider staying there, if they had a nicer beach.

LPenni35-
My husband and I are leaving for Cancun in May and staying at Cancun Palace. We chose Cancun Palace because we heard about the not-so-great beach at Moon Palace. However, you can move around to any of the Palace resorts, and on the up-side I've heard that Moon Palace has one of the nicest pools in Cancun.
