Whistler restaurant suggestions?
Any restaurant suggestions for a family with boys ages 7 and 9? We will be in Whistler for 8 days in March. It is our sons' first trip to Canada. We like all types of food. We would like the boys to experience Canadian or Pacific Northwest cuisine. We are staying in Whistler village, but we will have a car.
Also, are there any sleigh rides to a dinner?
Finally, the boys want to go to the kids' night out program, so any suggestions for a nice, romantic dinner on our parents' night out?

8 days, your boys will have a great time. A few suggestions would be Avalanche Pizza good for take out. The Brewhouse for roast chicken and prime rib done over their open fire. Caramba for pizzas, pasta and hearty dishes like pot roasts, also their grilled calamari appetizer drizzled with olive oil and herbs is great. Dubh Linn Gate for pub grub such as corned beef and cabbage, irish stew, fish and chips, I've seen many families eat there. Sushi Village is good for japanese and very popular. All these places are casual and moderately priced, suitable with kids. Of course Cow's for ice cream, even in the coldest weather. I'm sure you will have other suggestions as well. Good luck.

Hi Padams,
Try Mongolie Grill, it is the kids favorite here, also Wildwood Bistro, a locals fave, definitely Sushi Village, also Zeuski's Taverna for med food, Caramba is good too, as is Val d' Sere. You can arrange a sleigh ride to the Edgewater Lodge for dinner from Nicklaus North Golf Course clubhouse.
For your night out, try Bearfoot Bistro $$$$$, Araxi's ,Trattoria Umberto or if you aren't drinking or don't mind a $25 cab ride each way, go to the Rimrock for seafood. Have a great trip. Cheers, Al
