Oarsman's , Safelanding Resorts

Has anyone stayed at either one of these resorts in the Yasawas?
What did you think.
Thanks

3 stays at Oarsmans. Food pretty basic as are cabins but they have the best beach in the Yasawas. Bfast at 8am. Lunch at 2pm, Dinner at 8pm. And the Chief plays an awful ukelele!

Safe Landing run by the same family as Oarsmans. Better food, lousy beach. Octopus on Waya best food, not bad beach. Take your pick. Sorry I'm in a hurry! Good luck.

Are the two resorts close to each other?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike-sorry I could not elaborate-family stuff.

OK-Oarsmans & Safe Landing both have bures (cabins) with own shower/toilet spaced at around 10 metres form each other in 3 rows. 1-3 are the best ar Oars. Both resorts are pretty compact. At Oarsmans they have a new family bure sleeping 4/6. Ask price as is bigger and worth extra. Safe Landing & Oarsmans approx 30 mins walk or 10 mins boat apart. Octopus is on sthn island about 1 hr by boat from Nacula Island or 1 hr from Lautoka. If I was you I would have 3-4 nights at Oarsmans & 3 nights on Octopus. Gives you a perfect taste of the beauty of Fiji's beaches & islands. Please do not expect luxury. All these places are basic, clean, comfy resorts run by expats and locals who love their home islands. Our personal favourite is Octopus (no seaplane) but run by Nick, an expat NZealander. They do the best lobster bbq on the beach with champers for around US70 for two. Gawd! We had one of the most romantic nights of our lives there. Ask away! or have a blast!

Lyndie,
Your information is great. Do you know anything about Bounty Island? I was thinking of spending a couple of days there.
Thanks,
mike
