Have you stayed at Day Inn Angkor

I've been searching through threads to see if anyone has actually stayed at the Day Inn in Siem Reap and can give a first-hand account.

I'm looking for something middle of the road-I need comfortable but not too pricey. (Won't have any money left after the Pen BKK-Ha!)

Thanks

Can you switch around those locations - do BKK last at the Penn.- it will be a big let down if you do the Penn first and this hotel - which I suspect is a 2 star.

No way Bill. All plans in Stone. Want to be in BKK for New Year's.

I know what you mean about the let down but I'm usually pretty happy either way.

Was just curious about the hotel in SR. The options seem to be 2 star or super pricey-nothing in between.....

If you like Dim Sum then you want to try it at the Penn. Its great and the cost is very reasonable for a 5 star hotel! (Note the items are very cheap but the tea is a bit expensive! The service is outstanding as you expect. Also the buffet breakfasts are very good!

In addition to the super-pricey places, there are a number of places that get good reviews in the $100 range. I haven't seen reviews of the Day Inn, so can't comment specifically on that one.

I cant give you a 'first-hand' account, however this place was recommended to me by a good friend who has stayed there, and they have always given me good travel recommendations. I think, as you can see from the website, it is a good middle of the road option. certainly not boutique, or overly stylish, but clean, simple, and with a pool, which i have heard is crucial in SR. we are staying there for the first two nights then treating ourselves to the FCC for new years!

Thanks for input. I'll be hot on your heels, arriving on New Year's Day.
