We are having a difficult time choosing between these two hotels for our visit (4 adults one 8 year old) in November.
Your comments and suggestions would be apprecated.

no question in my mind---majestic grande....it has a better location and the hotel is much newer....

i have stayed in the holiday inn and i would rate it a 6 on a 10 scale....

the MG is very close to two skytrain stops on the very busy sukhumvit road...it is set back 1/2 block from this busy street...HI is a distance from a skytrain station.....i do like silom road however in general....

What about the newest Holiday Inn, which is next door to the Intercontinental, and right at the skytrain station. I think it is called the Holiday Inn Bangkok. I would select it over the Majestic because of the great location, and it has just been through a total renovation. I've not been inside but I would imagine it's just fine.

Hello there! I do not like the HOliday Inn Silom at all!!! I had stayed there before and never again. It is very busy and filled with Airline staff and tour groups too..

I second the vote for the new HOliday Inn near BTS Chitlom and not far from Central Dept store.. Much better property and wonderful central location and rooms and facilites quite nice!

Looks like we had a karmic same timing/same thinking moment! Howz that!

The Majestic is a nice hotel. It's roughly 150 meters off of Sukhumvit. Ploenchit and Nana BTS stations are a "pick em" as far as which one is closer (if you're heading East, Nana, West, Ploenchit). Hotel does get a few sex tourists due to its very close proximity to Nana Entertainment Plaza.
