world yacht
Going to NYC for our 40th,and from some helpful threads, have zeroed in on World Yacht dinner cruise.Only reviews I found were on TripAdvisor, and they hammered it.Any folks with recent experience would help me decide--thanks

If yo have dinner on one of these cruises you're going for the cruise - not the food. Have been on several (for events I couldn;t avoid) and the food was mediocre at best.
If food is important go to a real restaurant with a view - or eat before or after a cruise.

The service on World Yacht is fine but the food is just ok. The views of the city are what books the cruise and there's music and dancing, and you can go out on the deck and enjoy the evening views and breeze of being on the water.
If you haven't done it before, go and have a great time it really is a special night.

Bateaux NY has live trio playing great pop (not hip hop) music. Not sure why you're ignoring my reco. It's much much nicer.

Mclauire---sorry didnt intend to offend.Appreciate your prompt responseTheir prices are much higher,at least what i could find on Internet----what i can see is they are 160/hd vs 106/hd on World yacht, hence why i "zeroed in"on them.I agree that it looks like a much classier event--am I off on my price estimates?/

big - if you click on the link mclaurie gave you, and then click on the day you want to go, you'll see the prices. For Bateau, I saw a Friday night cruise for $123, so not sure where you are getting $160 from.
Besides, if it is your anniversary, and you think the experience will be that much better, wouldn't some extra $ be worth it?

just got back--turned out Bateaux didnt sail for lunch this last Sunday,so they switched us to Spirit,at Dock 62.It was an incredibly fun trip. They gave us a window seat, a nice floor show that lasted 30 minutes, food was very good, buffet, but they broguht up folks by table,so no lines.Everything was first class--got the package with roses and champagne since it was our 40th. Could walk around outside.everything was very clean and maintained--higl hly recommened. Thanks to mclaurie for suggestion
